這裏的lol不是遊戲裏常說的英雄聯盟的代名詞，而是laugh out loudly 就是大笑的意思，有點像中文的呵呵。在外國的文字聊天方式中比較常用。
外國聊天時常用的聊天縮寫:
首字母縮寫
由每個單詞的第壹個字母組合而成的，比如UN就是指United Nations。短信裏，首字母縮寫常常被用在習慣用語中。另外，發聲相似的詞會被字母取代。

Contractions 縮略
短信的縮略詞不是指壹些約定俗成的"don't" 或 "they're"之類的縮略，但兩者的目的是壹樣的：即當意思很清楚的時候可將壹些不需要的詞省略。元音常常會被省略，但是妳仍然可以保留這個詞的大概 發言。數字8有時候會發eight，所以later就寫成l8r。數字4通常也被取代成for，就像2這個音就替代了to。

asl=age sex 地址 英文聊天開場最常用的對白，三個字母相應的代替了三句話，分別是how old are you? male or female? and where are you from? 壹句話，我們的原則是越簡單越好。

wb=welcome back 當壹會兒回來的人回來的時候，妳可以說歡迎回來，很禮貌的說法。
sup=what'sup 這個是熟人之間問好的常用形式，就好比中國人見面問“嘛呢?"回答就直接告訴別人妳正在忙什麽，如果沒什麽特別的可以回答notmuch/nothing speical，這就是最地道的表達。千萬別以為sup就是supper,跟吃壹點關系都沒有。
uni=university 大學的縮寫，在英語中，很多比較長的詞都有特殊的縮寫，大概美國人比較懶。
gvmt=government 政府的縮寫
goodnite/nite=good night晚安
yes/yep/yeah “好”的幾種表達
no/nope/nah “不”的幾種表達，個人認為總說no太單調，而且也太生硬了，可以試著其它的兩種回答
gotdc=got disconnected 聊到壹半時，卻掉線了，這個時候應該怎麽說呢？gotdc是比較簡單的表達。還有壹種情況，就是電腦突然定住，需要重起，當妳再度上線的時候，可以說my pcfroze，我們用"凍"這個詞，是比較生動貼切的。

j/k=justkidding 開玩笑的縮寫，也可以說just joking，壹般程度的開玩笑就可以說just kidding/justjoking,如果某人說了壹件另妳感到吃驚的事，妳可以反問"you kidding?", 更深程度表達吃驚的用法是"you got to bekidding me?"如果這樣說了,那就表示這件事是妳做夢都沒想到的。

gtg=gotta go 表示要走了，這句話的用途很廣泛，想下線的時候可以這樣說，在真實生活中也很常用，聊電話想掛的時候除了說hang up外，也可以說gotta go。
lol=laugh of lot 英文聊天中出現頻率最高的幾個詞之壹，其實就是彪悍的笑，如果妳不打haha的話，這個lol也可以表示大笑，並且三個字母組合起來的圖案就如某人大笑的嘴，很是生動。
