創作背景：
《瘋狂動物城》是迪士尼動畫工作室第55部動畫長片，該片的靈感來自童話《柳林風聲》（The Wind in the Willows）中像人類壹樣行事的會說話動物。
該片的執行制片人約翰·拉賽特從小是看《柳林風聲》長大的，他非常想拍壹部會說話的動物電影，而導演拜恩·霍華德發現迪士尼任何壹部動畫都能運用於現代社會，都能折射這個社會的種種。
