有關動物的英文諺語：
1.dog 狗：
Love me, love my dog. 愛屋及烏。
An old dog will learn no new tricks. 老狗學不了新把戲；老年人很難適應新事物。
A good dog deserves a good bone. 好狗應該啃好骨頭；有功者受賞。
Dog does not eat dog. 狗不吃狗；同類不相殘。
2. cat 貓：
A cat has nine lives. 貓有九條命。
A cat may look at a king. 貓也可以看國王；小人物也該有些權利。
Care killed a cat. 憂慮殺死貓；憂慮傷身。
There are more ways than one to kill a cat. 殺貓的辦法壹個；達到目的的辦法多得很。
3. fox 狐貍：
A fox is not taken twice in the same snare. 壹只狐貍不能以同壹陷阱捉它兩次。
A fox may grow grey, but never good. 狐貍會變老，卻永遠不會變好；江山易改，本性難移。
The fox changes his skin but not his habits. 狐貍可以改變它的皮毛，但不能改變它的習性。

4. wolf 狼：
Who keeps company with the wolf will learn to howl. 與狼為伴將學會嚎叫。
The wolf may lose his teeth, but never his nature. 狼牙可掉，狼性難改。
A thief knows a thief as a wolf knows a wolf. 賊了解賊，正如狼了解狼。
Hunger fetches the wolf out of the woods. 饑餓引狼出森林。
5. tiger 虎：
He who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount. 騎虎者難下。
The tiger’s backside shall not be touched. 老虎的屁股摸不得。
The tiger has once tasted blood is never sated with the taste of it. 壹次嘗到血，虎欲永難遏。
A tiger leaves a skin behind him. 虎死留皮；人死留名。
