His mother was in the kitchen, and she saw him and said to him,“Why are you late today, Peter?”
“My teacher is (angry) and sends me to the headmaster after our lessons.”Peter answered.
“To the headmaster?”His mother said.“Why doesn’t she send you home?”
“Because she asks a question in the class,”Peter said.“and none of the children give her the (answer) except me.”
His mother is angry. “But why does the teacher send you to the headmaster then? Why does not she send all the (other) stupid children?”She asked Peter.
“Because he question is‘(Who) put glue on my chair’”Peter says.
Peter(彼得)8歲半了，他在他家附近的壹所學校上學，通常是步行去學校和回家。通常他都按時回家，但是上個星期五他回家晚了。
他媽媽在廚房裏，看到了他然後問：“為什麽今天這麽晚回家，Peter？”
“老師生氣了，課後把我交給校長了。”Peter回答。
“校長？”他媽媽問，“為什麽她不讓妳回家？”
“因為她在班上問了壹個問題，”Peter說，“然後沒有人能回答她，除了我。”
他媽媽惱了，“那為什麽老師要把妳交給校長？為什麽不是其他回答不上來的蠢學生？”她問Peter。
“因為她的問題是‘是誰把膠水塗在我椅子上的？’”Peter說。
