除了Disco，妳還知道Television跟電影常聽到的What a pity 已經是老式的說法了嗎？Ronnie在《engVid》中要分享這些過時單字，以及我們該說說的新用單字！
1. Telephone -> Phone 電話除了phone，還可以說”mobile”或是”cell”
Television -> TV 電視
Refrigerator -> Fridge 冰箱
Automobile / Auto -> Car 汽車
2. Shall -> Will應該Shall 是情態助動詞，但它不常出現在生活中，反而是公***場所的標語會出現。
You shall not spit in the pool. 勿在池子中嘔吐。
You shall give me a dollar. -> You will give me a dollar.
妳應該給我壹元
3. What a pity / shame!(真可惜) -> That sucks / blows! 糟透了！Pardon me! -> Excuse me! 不好意思
如果妳不小心放屁了，記得說Excuse me! 或是前面的人走太慢，擋到妳，妳也可說Excuse me! 此外這句也可以用在當妳想引起別人註意的時候。
4. Entered -> Go in 進入Exited -> Left 離開 Departed -> Left 離開 Received -> Got 得到 電子情書的原文就是”You’ve got mail” 所以別再用receive說”收到”
5. Participate -> play 參加I participated in the football game yesterday.? 別這麽正式地說，妳可以說：
我昨天參加足球比賽了。 I played football yesterday.
Join -> Went to 參加、去了…
別說I joined the club / restaurant yesterday.
要說I went to the club / restaurant yesterday. 我昨晚去了夜店/餐廳

6. Located -> Found 發現某物Locate”發現”是警察在確定或發現犯人的位置時，才會用的詞。
