Maxims is useful for my personal development. Pragmatic is one of the key ideologies of Maxims. With this spirit, I have made progress in this semester.
For example, I used to have a very high target for my study. I wanted to be the TOP 10 students in our grade. However, things never go well as I expected. Being the middle-ranked students in our class, it seems to be hard to reach this goal. I was upset. But Maxims’ spirit teaches us to be pragmatic and to be realistic. Then I changed my goal from the original one to be the current one --- to be the TOP 10 students in our class. This goal fits me and it is what I can achieve!
I believe I can finish this target if I try my best. Therefore, even I encounter with some frustration, I won’t be upset and I will keep on trying.
