愚人節的來歷英語版
在眾多愚人節起源的傳說中，有壹個版本得到了不少人的認可。相傳，在1582年，教皇格列高利十三世改革，開始采用新的歷法，這個歷法就叫“格裏歷”（當然，是以他的名字命名的），新歷法將原有新年的第壹天從3月底改為了1月1日。但是呢，很多人並不買賬，執意沿用舊歷，依然在3月底“過新年”。於是，主張改革的人對這些任性的守舊者大加嘲弄，甚至有人在4月1日給他們送去假的禮品，邀請他們參加假的大趴，並把上當受騙的人稱為“fool”。
The day began, most believe, in 1582, when Pope Gregory XIII decreed the adoption of the “Gregorian calendar” — named after himself — which moved New Year’s Day from the end of March to Jan. 1. In this version of events, those who continued to celebrate the end of New Year's Week on 1 April were derided as fools.
關於愚人節還有壹種說法，它的前身可能跟古羅馬的嬉樂節（Hilaria）有關，嬉樂節是慶祝阿提斯神復活的節日。而Hilaria這個詞，也容易讓人聯想到英文中的hilarity（歡鬧），如今嬉樂節也被稱為Roman Laughing Day。值得壹提的是，嬉樂節的日期是3月25日，跟4月1日也差不了幾天哦~
Ancient Romans held a festival known as Hilaria. The occasion was used to celebrate the resurrection of the god Attis. Hilaria, of course, resembles the word hilarity in English. The modern equivalent of Hilaria is called Roman Laughing Day.

April Fools’ Day is on the first day of April, which is a day for people to make fun of each other. Some people figure out all the ways to play jokes, such as getting married, which surely shocks everybody. But some jokes are not acceptable, such as suicide. Some teenagers want to attract more people’s attention, so they play the joke that they feel negative about life and want to end their lives. When their friends call police and finally realize that it is a joke, they will be very angry. No matter what kind of joke we play, we should not cross the line and make others worried. The meaning of Fools’ Day is to let people feel eased from the great pressure. Playing joke is the effective way, but we must keep the rules.
