When his pupils asked him why he did so, he said that he went to dreamland to meet ancient sages.
當他的學生問他是怎麽回事時，他回答說他到夢境中去見古代的聖人了。
One extremely hot day some of his pupils fell asleep in the classroom. When the school-teacher chided them, they said, "We went to meet the sages in dreamland."
有壹天，天氣很熱，有幾個學生在教室裏睡著了。當這位老師斥責他們的時候，他們說：“我們去夢裏見聖人了。”
"What did they say?" demanded the teacher.
“他們說什麽了？”老師問到。
"We asked them if a school- teacher came there every afternoon, but they said they had seen no such person."
“我們問他們是不是每天下午都有壹個老師去他們那兒，但是他們說沒見過這個人。”
