常見的有以下六種情況：
壹、如果主句是將來時或表示將來含義時，那麽條件和時間狀語從句多用壹般現在時
如： When I grow up, I will be a nurse and look after patients/ I want to be a nurse and look after patients.
我長大後要當壹名護士，照顧病人。
二、如果主句是祈使句，那麽從句通常要用壹般現在時
如：Don’t laugh at me when I make a mistake.
我犯錯誤的時候不要笑話我。
三、如果主句是含有情態動詞的壹般現在時，根據需要從句多用壹般現在時
如：You should be quiet when you are in the reading room
在閱覽室時應保持安靜。
四、 如果if的條件狀語從句遇到變換間接和直接時 , 祈使句應用not to....
如; She said not to close the window
常見的時間狀語從句的連詞有：as soon as,when,while ,as,until等
五、主將從現說的是在含有時間狀語從句和條件狀語從句的主從復合句中，如果主句的時態是壹般將來時，那麽從句要用壹般現在時。
例如：I will tell him about it when he comes.
If it is fine tomorrow, we will go outing.
六、如果主句的時態是過去將來時，那麽從句要用壹般過去時 。例如：
He said that he would have another try if he had the chance.
I knew he could help me if he was free the next day.
